I think it’s true that email marketing will beat social media marketing especially if you have done your email marketing campaign correctly, though in my opinion it is still better if we will use both strategy

Email marketing will definitely stay however, certain signals of too much marketing like some marketers do is plain annoying at times that you just can’t wait to hit the “unsubscribe” link in order to get rid of the clutter they are sending you like almost 4-5 times in a week.

Well put. When done right, both mediums can work together. We launched Social Media Sharing recently with emails recently and got tons of positive feedback. It’s always funny when some still try to cash in on the ‘Email is dying’ mindset.
