Chris Brogan blog and personal branding

Chris Brogan’s blog as recently had a make over and while I like the new look, it is cleaner, crisper and easier on the eye there is one big change which I would disagree with. Chris has removed his photo from the top of the blog and you have to scroll down to see him. In my eyes it is a mistake for him to remove his image, Chris speaks at lots of shows and events and I am sure as many people will know him by sight as much as by name. When you image is as much as part of your brand as your name you should make that part of your blog header. What do you think about the new site design www.chrisbrogan.com

I know, I know my blog redesign is underway. I should add that I am a fan of Chris’s work I just wonder about the new design.

You have a very good point by taking away the photo you are depersonalising the site. And Chris has build up his brand around him the person. Would that be like Ferrari taking away pictures of cars from their site?
