Tell me about your Blog?
I blog at www.pakblogger.com focusing on mobile phones news/reviews, mobile phone themes, apps and games. I also write about social media, software tips and How To tutorials occasionally.

What was your first blog?
www.pakblogger.com is my first blog. I am running a forum for IT education in my local language at www.itdunya.com which gets good traffic from my country and is in Top 20,000 sites in Alexa.

What is the biggest tip you would give to a newbie blogger?

I will ask new blogger to write on consistent basis and keep a posting frequency that suits them and stick to that. Others things that will bring initial traffic to blog are commenting on other blogs related to your blog’s topics, submit your good articles to social media, keep on building links on consistent basis, look for networking opportunities in your niche (you can approach me for that if you are running a technology or mobile phones specific blogs) and keep an eye on Google’s trending topics.

What do advertisers do that you wish they wouldn’t?

Advertisers should design a landing page before going to advertise on a blog/site keeping in view the readers interests of the blog where they wish to advertise. They should also focus on how to get subscribers/returning visitors from first time visitors. One more thing is to try verity of methods to advertise and see what works for them (e.g. banner advertisement, purchasing reviews, Adwords).

What do bloggers do that you wish they wouldn’t?

Bloggers should not quit in early months if they see a little success. Beginning is always tough and challenging. Always go through your Analytics and see what topics/keywords are bringing in some traffic. Duplicate the process and keep on adding content and building links you will see results in a year or two if you carry on your hard work. Be original and do not copy other’s content.

What do you do to improve the world?

That was first motivation for me to start a forum in my local language to teach people about internet/ computers and other IT related education. My forum still has no advertisements on it even though it gets good traffic. My main goal was/is to give my people a community to discuss their problems.

I am reading Seth Godin’s http://sethgodin.typepad.com/the_dip/ and it is very good book. Check this out and you will love it
