Affiliate email marketing has produced some of the world’s largest affiliate marketers such as Scott Richter. Scott shot to fame when interviewed on the Daily Show for sending millions of emails per day. Not everyone welcomes email affiliate marketing.

Email affiliates have been very successful in generating leads for companies to follow up with other means such as telephone marketing. If your company has a call centre, acquiring leads from email affiliate marketing campaigns may be a very successful method to generate business.

Affiliate email marketing suffers from diminishing returns as more affiliates get involved in it. Consumers become increasingly blind to the promotional emails they receive. Internet service providers are also increasingly making it harder for affiliates to send promotional emails.

Many affiliate merchants re-monetise their customers by sending them additional promotional offers as an affiliate to offset the cost of customer acquisition.
