Tell me about your Blog?

It is basically a place where I share my personal experience & findings about blogging & webmaster things. I am not a blogger by profession, but simply loves it. I have been blogging since 2006. So several months back I thought why not open a blog to share my ideas.

What was your first blog?

Very first…I can’t remember! I opened so many blogs on so many free hosting! The first stable one was aniroy1986.anyonesblog.com. You can’t find it now cause the hosting doesn’t exist anymore. I used blogsoft.tk free domain with that blog.

What is the biggest tip you would give to a newbie blogger?

Be persistent with a blog. Don’t get disheartened if you don’t earn quickly. More time you spend online the easier it becomes.

What do bloggers do that you wish they wouldn’t?

I don’t like the idea of auto-blogging. It may generate decent earning, but feels like unethical to me. At least it is certainly not original! Another thing is indiscriminate using of pay per post networks. Some bloggers just create a half-decent blog & start posting paid reviews. It’s like cheating readers.
I know those are good ways for making quick bucks. But as I don’t have to depend on blogging as a profession, I have the liberty to criticize.

Where do you see growth in the blogging field?

Blogging has grown enough & it will continue to grow. I would rather wait & watch the effect of micro-blogging on traditional blogging. People are crazy about things like Twitter. Some consider it as a quick replacement to traditional blogging. But I would like to think otherwise. Micro-blogs are more like a messaging system. If you want to explain something you need a bit more than a restricted Twitter message. Besides, those who want easy but personalized standalone online presence would still use available blogging platforms. There are not many good micro-blogging scripts after all. Micro-blogging is an evaluation of blogging. But blogging is what that connects the path between traditional websites and new micro-blogs. Just think of WordPress, a blogging platform that stretches the idea of blogging to a whole CMS.
So let’s see whether microblogging diverts the growth of blogging to itself, or traditional blogging keeps its own path.

What do you do to improve the world?

Wow…that’s too big for me! I can think of only improving myself. And as an individual of this world, it will at least improve a tiny part of this world.

What’s your favorite book?

I am Bengali & like reading Bengali books mostly. So I don’t think you will ever find my favourite ones.

What is one thing about you that not many people know?

I don’t like to disclose much personal info, simply because it won’t remain personal then. People have told me to set up an About Page in my blog. It is surely a good idea. But I am still not using it. It is just a funny idea of mine, nothing else.
By the way, as I have said I am not a problogger, then I can also tell you what I do. I am a software professional.

What are your contact details?

You can contact me easily through my blogs.

What events do you go to?

I am lazy & not very social. Besides net is enough to catch an event.

How do you prefer to communicate?

Any way…as long as you can communicate.
