Twitter Apps: TweetBoard Brings Twitter Conversation to Your Website
Twitter apps are growing in functionality and becoming more and more powerful. One of the newest Twitter apps to come onto the Internet is TweetBoard. In essence, TweetBoard creates a Twitter powered conversation forum for any website.
Tweetboard is the initial project from 140ware, a startup from developer Juan Carlos Muriente. It connects Twitter conversations through contextual links and presents them through the TwitterBoard.
It is described on their website this way:
“Tweetboard is a fun and engaging micro-forum type application for your website. It pulls your Twitter stream in near real-time (max 1 min delay), reformatting tweets into threaded conversations with unlimited nesting. Conversations that spun off the original conversation are also threaded in-line, giving your site visitors full perspective of what’s being discussed.”
Tweetboard is a viral tool that engages website visitors who post via your board, adding a link back to the corresponding conversation onto their tweet. The result is intended to be a viral stream of Twitter traffic.

TweetBoard alpha currently works as a site-wide tab but Muriente says that he is working on making a page-specific version for use as a commenting system.
