Tell me about your company and The Jeff Pulver blog.
There are times I live in my blog. Anyone who is trying to get to know
me better should read this blog post – “Pieces of Me” –
At the moment I am focused on producing a series of events that are
exploring the state of social communications, social media and HD
VoIP. At the same time I am an active early-early stage investor and
continue to be a disruptor. I’m also co-founder of a social media
startup. (When I start to add up all of the moving parts it turns out
I’m doing 12-18 things a week.)

What have been your most important learnings in developing your blog?
You need to know your voice and understand who your audience is.
Tell me about the 140 Characters Conference and what you are most
looking forward to?
The 140 Characters Conference has become “the Davos of twitter.” We
will be exploring twitter as a platform and the effects of twitter on:
Celebrity, The Media, Advertising and Politics. I’m most looking
forward to the people who will be there.
How do use social media as part of your daily business?
I don’t use social media. I live in social media.
What was your first experience of social media?
When I was 9 years old and watched my uncle use a form a social media known as a ham radio.
What is the biggest tip you would give to a newbie blogger?
Believe in yourself and discover your voice.
What do advertisers do that you wish they wouldn’t?
Forget that they are human.
What do bloggers do that you wish they wouldn’t?
Preach without thinking.
Where do you see growth in the social media field?
360 around me.
What do you do to improve the world?
I challenge the status quo, support a number of charities and when I can, invest in the dreams of others.
What do you personally do that is Green?
I promote the use of communication technologies.
What is one thing about you that not many people know?
I never used Microsoft exchange.
What’s your favourite book?
Any book by John Grisham or Michael Criton.

Depends upon the day.

Twitter is like a breath of fresh air on the Social Media scene. I have been on it for just a few weeks now and I have met several interesting people. It is a platform to network with people you would like to meet in real life.
