Tell me about your Blog?
The italian version of Ikaro is one of the most popular blog in Italy about problogging, new media and technology in general. We publish also an edition in portoguese: Ikaro Brasil

What is the biggest tip you would give to a newbie blogger?
There are may useful tips for a newbie blogger, but i think that the most important one is: be yourself, don’t try to be as you would like to appear.

What do advertisers do that you wish they wouldn’t?
I often receive proposals of direct advertising of products and services not relevant for the topics on my blog. It is a loose-loose strategy because advertising online must be
strictly connected with the context, otherwise it may cause the opposite effect.

What do bloggers do that you wish they wouldn’t?
I often read blog of smart smart people who think that blogging means teaching. Sharing is more important than teaching beacuse the relevance of information don’t belong anymore to the source. Bloggers should share their experiences and their point of views, this is what the users are searching for: pieces of different informations and others experiences to correlate in order to build their own opinion.

What new ideas are advertisers coming up with to take advantage of new trends?
Advertisrs should replace propaganda with conversation. Users already talk online about almost every pruducts, brands and services: smart advertisers should track these conversations to discover exactly the kind of inexistent product or service that people is serching for.

What do you do to improve the world?
Abrogating money. It’s a trap. Loaning and credits are chains that turn us modern slaves.

The Foundation series by Isaac Asimov
